2024

(BC) Adams was in uniform for all 18 regular-season games for the Lions. He made nine starts and posted a 6-3 record as he completed 197 of 302 passes for 2,929 yards and 16 touchdowns with nine interceptions. He had six 300-yard passing games and led the CFL with an average of 9.7 yard per pass attempt. Adams also carried the ball 40 times for 213 yards and three scores. He had four touchdown passes in Week 5 at Hamilton and threw for a season-high 451 yards in a Week 6 game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. In the Western Semi-Final against Saskatchewan, Adams completed 20 of 33 passes for 317 yards and two touchdowns and also had three carries for 12 yards.

 

2023

(BC) Adams dressed for all 18 games and posted an 11-5 record in 16 starts. He led the league with 4,769 passing yards as he completed 333 of 488 passes. Adams had 31 touchdown tosses and 18 interceptions and carried the ball 48 times for 324 yards and one score. He had 10 300-yard passing games including two contests with more than 400 yards. In Week 10 against Calgary, Adams had four touchdown passes and had five other starts with three TD throws. Adams started both playoff games and completed 41 of 65 passes for 634 yards and three touchdowns as well as nine carries for 61 yards and three majors. In a Western Semi-Final win over the Stampeders, he threw for 413 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 54 yards and three scores.

 

2022

(Montreal/BC) Adams played five games and made two starts for the Alouettes, completing 21 of 39 passes for 294 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. He had eight carries for 33 yards and one score. Adams was then traded to the Lions and appeared in an additional eight games including six starts. With BC, he connected on 118 of 180 passes for 1,504 yards and six touchdowns with one interception and carried the ball 14 times for 129 yards. His combined stats for the season included 139 completions in 219 pass attempts for 1,798 yards and seven touchdowns with three interceptions. In Week 17 against Ottawa, Adams threw for a season-high 305 yards. He was in uniform for both of BC’s post-season games.

 

2021

(Montreal) Adams played and started eight games before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury. He completed 142 of 239 passes for 1,949 yards and 14 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Adams added 51 carries for 298 yards. He had four touchdown passes in a Week 5 win in Toronto and a season-high 382 passing yards in Week 8 at Toronto.

 

2020

(Montreal) Adams was under contract with the Alouettes but the season was cancelled because of the global pandemic.

 

2019

(Montreal) Adams earned East Division all-star honours and was the Alouettes’ nominee for Most Outstanding player. In 16 games, he completed 283 of 431 passes – a 65.7-per cent success rate – with 24 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He accounted for 12 more touchdowns on the ground as he carried the ball 82 times for 394 yards. Adams had five 300-yard passing games including a season-best 488 yards in a home victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Adams had a season-high four touchdown passes in the game against Winnipeg and four different games with two rushing touchdowns. He missed one game due to injury and one due to a suspension as a result of an altercation at the end of the Week 15 game against the Blue Bombers. In the Eastern Semi-Final against Edmonton, Adams completed 14 of 27 passes for 226 yards with three interceptions and carried the ball six times for 57 yards and one touchdown.

 

2018

(Hamilton/Montreal) Adams started the season with the Tiger-Cats and was on the one-game injury list for Hamilton’s season-opener. He was released on June 21 and signed by the Alouettes on June 26. Adams played five games and made one start for Montreal, completing 16 of 33 passes for 220 yards and one interception. He also had five carries for 13 yards and two touchdowns.

 

2017

(Montreal/Saskatchewan) Adams 18 combined games as a backup quarterback for the Alouettes and Roughriders. In seven games for Montreal, he had eight carries for nine yards and one touchdown and in 11 contests for Saskatchewan, he completed one of three passes for eight yards and carried the ball 12 times for 33 yards and three touchdowns. Adams was in uniform for both the Eastern Semi-Final and Eastern Final and had four carries for four yards and one touchdown.

 

2016

(Montreal) The Alouettes acquired Adams’ negotiation rights in a trade with the BC Lions and signed him to a contract. He played 15 games in his rookie season including three starts and completed 42 of 75 passes for 575 yards and four touchdowns with one interception. Adams added 29 carries for 112 yards and one touchdown. He threw his first career touchdown pass in Week 18 at Saskatchewan and had three TD passes in Week 20 at Hamilton.

Adams played his senior season (2015) at Oregon and was named the Pac-12 Conference’s newcomer of the year. In 10 games for the Ducks, he completed 168 of 259 passes for 2,643 yards with 26 touchdowns and just six interceptions. Adams also had 147 rushing yards and two scores. He transferred to Oregon after three seasons at Eastern Washington. Adams was 28-6 as a starter with the Eagles and was a first-team Big Sky Conference all-star and the conference’s offensive player of the year in both 2013 and 2014. In 37 games at Eastern Washington, he completed 701 of 1,081 passes for 10,438 yards and 110 touchdowns. Adams also had 1,232 yards and 11 touchdowns along the ground.

 

Personal

Adams is an alumnus of Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, Calif. In his senior season, he was voted the league’s most valuable player and led the Warriors to a championship. Over his final two seasons at Bishop Alemany, he threw for 5,234 yards and 49 touchdowns and ran for 1,263 yards and 19 majors.
