(BC/Calgary) Dava signed with the Lions on July 27 and was place on the practice roster. He was claimed by Calgary on Aug. 28 and made his CFL debut against Edmonton in the Labour Day Classic. Dava played eight games including two starts and recorded three defensive tackles.

Dava played 48 games over five years (2019-23) at Tennessee Tech. He had 87 career tackles for the Golden Eagles including 24.5 tackles for loss. Dava also had eight sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.

Personal

Dava played two seasons at Innisdale Secondary School in Barrie, Ont., before joining the Clarkson Football North program in Mississauga, Ont. Over the course of three years with Football North, he earned rookie-of-the-year, MVP and defensive MVP honours. Dava graduated from Tennessee Tech with a masters degree in business administration.
