2024

(Calgary) Houston played 15 games and made 14 starts at boundary corner, leading the team in defensive tackles (74), interceptions (five) and defensive plays (85). He also had one sack, one forced fumble and four knockdowns. Houston recorded an interception in his Stampeders debut, the 10th pick of his CFL career. In Week 4 during his first game against his former team, the Blue Bombers, his end-zone interception in overtime set the stage for a game-winning field goal. Houston recorded his first career sack in a Week 21 game at Saskatchewan. He missed three July games with an ankle injury.

 

2023

(Winnipeg) Houston earned West Division and CFL all-star recognition after leading the CFL with seven interceptions. He returned one of the interceptions 45 yards for a touchdown – in Week 11 at Calgary – and also recovered three fumbles for a total of 10 turnovers. In 15 regular-season games, Houston had 50 tackles and four knockdowns. In the post-season, he had one tackle and one interception in the Western Final and three tackles in the Grey Cup.

 

2022

(Winnipeg) Houston played 11 games and made nine starts for the Blue Bombers. He made 27 tackles and added two interceptions, one fumble recovery and two knockdowns. His first CFL interception came in Week 5 at BC. He was placed on the six-game injury list prior to Week 13.

 

2021

(Winnipeg) Houston played four games for the Blue Bombers and had seven defensive tackles, three special-teams stops and one knockdown. After starting the season on the practice roster, he made his CFL debut in a Week 11 contest at Edmonton and had three tackles and a knockdown.

Houston played four seasons (2015-18) at Southern University. In 43 games including 28 starts for the Jaguars, he accumulated 114 tackles and five interceptions. He also returned seven punts for 206 yards and one touchdown.

 

Personal

Houston was a standout defensive back at Shelby (N.C.) High School and was a key contributor to a pair of state championship teams with the Golden Lions. He also competed in basketball and track at Shelby.
