(Calgary) Hutchings signed with the Stampeders on Oct. 5 and was placed on the practice roster. He was activated in Week 20 and made his CFL debut in a road game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. In two games, Hutchings recorded a pair of defensive tackles.

College           

Hutchings played 62 games and made 57 starts over six years (2018-23) at Texas Tech. He had 193 career tackles for the Red Raiders including 108 solo stops. Hutchings had 26 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup.

Personal

Hutchings saw action as both a defensive lineman and a running back at Forney (Tex.) High school. During his junior season with the Jackrabbits, he was first-team all-district as a defensive lineman after recording 47 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and four sacks and second-team at running back after rushing for 719 yards and six touchdowns. Hutchings has a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Texas Tech.
