(Calgary) Nkanu played all 18 games during his rookie campaign including 11 starts at right guard. He was part of an offensive line that allowed the second-lowest sack total in the CFL. Nkanu made his first start in Week 9. He made his CFL debut in Week 1 against Hamilton and saw substantial action in a Week 8 game at Ottawa as he filled in for right guard Zack Williams, who suffered an injury early in the contest.

College           

Nkanu played his senior season (2023) at Washington State and appeared in four games for the Cougars. He transferred to Washington State from Southern Utah and in 2022, he played 12 games and made eight starts for the Thunderbirds – five at right tackle and one each at left tackle, left guard and left tackle. Nkanu started his collegiate career as a defensive lineman before switching to the offensive line during his redshirt freshman campaign in 2019.

Personal

Nkanu played high school football in Lachine, Que., at École secondaire Dalbé-Viau, winning a provincial title with the Aigles D’Or, before enrolling at St. Paul High School in Los Angeles.
