(Calgary) Roberson played 17 games and made 17 starts at field corner. He recorded 43 defensive tackles including one tackle for loss, four interceptions, one fumble recovery and two knockdowns. Roberson had a two-interception game in Week 6 at Winnipeg and he returned a Week 20 interception in Hamilton 65 yards for a touchdown.
2023
(Calgary) Roberson played 16 regular-season games, making 10 starts at boundary corner and six at field corner. He recorded 51 tackles including two tackles for loss, made two interceptions and had three knockdowns. Roberson had an interception in a Week 2 win at Ottawa and also had a pick in Week 14 at Edmonton. His season high of seven tackles occurred in a Week 10 game against the BC Lions. In Week 12 at Toronto, Roberson made his 50th career regular-season appearance in the CFL. He was a starter in the Western Semi-Final at BC and recorded three tackles.
2022
(Calgary) Roberson played five games and made five starts at the boundary corner position. He made 17 tackles and also had one interception that he returned 66 yards, one forced fumble and three knockdowns. The interception came in Week 5 against Edmonton. Roberson suffered a season-ending knee injury in a Week 8 game against Winnipeg.
2021
(Calgary) Roberson attended training camp with the National Football League’s Chicago Bears and joined the Stampeders on Oct. 19. He played three games and made three starts at cornerback, recording nine tackles and forcing a fumble. Roberson also started the Western Semi-Final.
2019
(Calgary) In his second season with the Stamps, Roberson was one of the top shutdown cornerbacks in the league, a West Division and CFL all-star and the team’s nominee for the league’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player award. Roberson made 16 starts in 16 games played and ranked second in the CFL with seven interceptions. He scored two touchdowns – one on an interception return and one on a fumble recovery. Roberson also had 12 knockdowns – the third-highest total in the CFL – as well as 41 tackles and one carry for four yards. He twice was honoured as a CFL player of the week and his last-minute field-goal block in Week 14 preserved a win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Roberson started the Western Semi-Final and had two tackles.
2018
(Calgary) Roberson claimed the starting job at boundary cornerback in training camp and started 16 regular-season contests at the position, missing two games due to injury. He earned the team’s nomination for the league’s Most Outstanding Rookie award as he had 54 tackles including two tackles for loss, three interceptions, six knockdowns and two forced fumbles. He recorded his first career interception in a Week 5 game against Ottawa. Roberson made a season-high seven tackles against Winnipeg in Week 11. In the post-season, Roberson started both games. He had four tackles in the Western Final and five tackles, one forced fumble, three knockdowns and a victory-sealing interception in the Grey Cup.

College
Roberson played quarterback in college including two seasons (2014-15) at Illinois State. He established school records for career rushing yards (1,806) and rushing touchdowns (22) by a quarterback. He threw for 5,446 career yards for the Redbirds and had 48 touchdown passes. He started his collegiate career at Indiana and was the first quarterback in school history to start as a true freshman. In 23 career games for the Hoosiers, Roberson passed for 2,433 yards and 20 touchdowns and rushed for 982 yards and 10 scores.
Personal
Roberson starred at Lawrence Central High School and was named Indiana’s Mr. Football in 2010 after throwing for 2,611 yards and 24 touchdowns and rushing for 1,992 yards and 21 scores. He is the grandson of Canadian Football Hall of Fame member Larry Highbaugh, who played 13 seasons in the CFL including 12 for Edmonton.
