2024

(Calgary) Teitz played all 18 games including his Stampeders debut in Week 1 against Hamilton. He had 10 defensive tackles, a career-high 12 special-teams stops, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. In a Week 9 victory over Toronto, Teitz had four total tackles – two on defence and two on special teams. In Week 15 against Montreal, he recorded the first fumble recovery of his CFL career.

2023

(Saskatchewan) Teitz played all 18 games for Saskatchewan and made 17 starts at weak-side linebacker. He recorded 57 defensive tackles including three tackles for loss, six special-teams tackles and two knockdowns. Teitz had a season-high eight tackles in a Week 9 home game against the Ottawa Redblacks. In Week 11 against BC, he suited up for his 50th career regular-season contest.

2022

(Saskatchewan) Teitz missed the entire season because of a groin injury.

2021

(Saskatchewan) Teitz played and started 13 games at linebacker for the Roughriders. He led the team with 64 tackles and was Saskatchewan’s nominee for the Most Outstanding Canadian award. Teitz also had seven special-teams tackles, three sacks and four tackles for loss. A sack against Ottawa in Week 3 was the first of his CFL career. Teitz had tackles in all 13 games he played including a high of eight against Ottawa in Week 3 and again in Week 12 at Calgary. Teitz had five defensive tackles in the Western Semi-Final.

2020

(Saskatchewan) Teitz was under contract with the Roughriders but the season was cancelled because of the global pandemic.

2019

(Saskatchewan) Teitz played 16 games including one start. He recorded six tackles including one tackle for loss, 11 special-teams tackles and one knockdown. Teitz’s first career start came in Week 18 in his hometown of Calgary and he registered five tackles including a tackle for loss. In Week 14 against Montreal, he made three special-teams tackles. Teitz was in uniform for the Western Final.

2018

(Saskatchewan) Teitz made his professional debut in the Roughriders’ season-opener against Toronto and went on to play 11 games. He recorded seven special-teams with the first three of his career coming in a Week 4 game against Hamilton. In Week 8 at Edmonton, Teitz had a pair of special-teams takedowns.

College

Teitz played 41 games over four seasons (2014-17) at Calgary. He had 191 career tackles with the Dinos including 16 tackles for loss and added seven sacks, three forced fumbles and nine passes defended. He twice was named a Canada West all-star and was second-team all-Canadian on one occasion.

Personal

Teitz is an alumnus of Springbank Community High School. In his final season at the University of Calgary, he was a teammate of his younger brother Daniel, who was also a linebacker.
