Years on the Outriders: 1
Education & Career: Dance Teacher/Choreographer
What inspired you to audition for The Outriders?
I was inspired to audition for the Outriders by Emma Lund. She’s an amazing artist that I’ve known for several
years, and she choreographed one of my favourite dances thus far this season! I’m so thankful that Emma
reached out and encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and audition!
What is your all time dance career highlight?
My all time dance career highlight was assisting Acrobatic Arts and ceo Mandy Yip in Japan back in 2022! I had
the incredible opportunity to travel to Tokyo and spend a week immersed in a completely different culture. I grew
up training with Mandy in the Acrobatic Arts syllabus so watching the students in Japan learning and enjoying
Mandy’s teachings was such a special experience! Later that year I got certified as an acro teacher through
Acrobatic Arts and it was such a full circle moment for me.
Who is someone you admire, and why?
I admire my mom, she is so hard working and supportive to everyone in her life. My mom puts her family first and
has always been my rock. I know I can always count on her and she is just the best!
What organization are you most excited to work with this season?
I am most excited to work with the Children’s hospital. I’m anticipating it being such a special experience and I
am really looking forward to it!
If you were a superhero, what superpower would you have?
I would definitely have flying powers!
What advice would you give someone who wants to join the Outriders?
Auditioning and putting yourself out there can be a very intimidating experience. I would advise being yourself
throughout the process, it will most definitely give off a more authentic performance.
