1. Us
The Stampeders come into Week 1 ready to improve on a 6-12 2023 campaign that saw them lose to the BC Lions in the West Semi-Final. Calgary announced their leadership group on Tuesday with Jake Maier, Reggie Begelton, Rene Paredes, and Mike Rose getting the nod for captains.
2. Them
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats found themselves in a similar position to the Stamps last season falling to Montreal in the East Semi-Final. Bo Levi Mitchell returns to McMahon where he began his career and played 10 seasons for the Stampeders before heading to Hamilton last year.

4. Fast Facts
This will be the fifth time in history the Stamps have opened the season against the Tabbies. They’re 4-0 in the previous lid-lifters against Hamilton – all of them played at McMahon – with wins in 1998 (by a score of 21-20), 2007 (37-9), 2015 (24-23) and 2018 (28-14).
Both clubs finished third in their respective divisions in 2023. The Stamps were 6-12 in the West while Hamilton was 8-10 in the East and both teams saw their seasons end with semifinal-round losses.
