The Stampeders enter Week 9 trying to keep their perfect home streak alive. Calgary is 3-0 so far at McMahon Stadium and will work to push that record to four when they host the Toronto Argonauts Sunday at 5 p.m.
Last time out, the Stamps fell to the Redblacks 33-6 on the road. A win Sunday would push Calgary back to .500 at 4-4.

3. Head To Head
This is the first of a back-to-back for these two clubs. After Sunday’s game, the Red and White will head to the Six on Friday, Aug. 9 for the rematch. The two teams split their head-to-head last year with Calgary winning 20-7 at home and Toronto returning the favour with a 39-31 victory on their home turf a few weeks later.
4. Fast Facts
The Stamps have opened the 2024 season with home-field victories over Hamilton, Winnipeg and BC and are attempting to push their home record to 4-0 for the first time since the 2018 season.
Sunday marks Heritage Night at McMahon and activities begin pre-game in the Gridiron Gardens starting at 3 p.m.
The Stampeders will play host to nearly 100 new Canadian citizens this weekend. The group will become citizens prior to the game during an on-field ceremony officiated by the Honourable Lois E. Mitchell, former Lieutenant Governor of Alberta. The newest Canadians will then be part of the pre-game flag ceremony and anthem before taking their place in the stands to watch the game.
The Stampeders have donated 1,200 tickets to Sunday’s game for use by Calgary-based evacuees of the municipality of Jasper, which has been devastated this month by wildfires. Evacuees may pick up their complimentary tickets to Sunday’s game at the Stampeders Ticket Office Saturday from 10am-3pm, and Sunday from 9am to the end of halftime.
On behalf of the Calgary Stampeders and CSEC, the Calgary Flames Foundation has made a $40,000 donation to the Jasper and Alberta fire relief efforts through the Canadian Red Cross.

7. Quotable
“Try to win your game at home. You got to try to protect your own house and make sure when you’re on your home turf that you get that win. For us, that means this week.” – General manager and head coach Dave Dickenson on the home-and-home with the Boatmen.
